In my Illustration class this semester we were assigned to do a nursery rhyme illustration in silhouette. Another constraint placed on this assignment was that we had to change the time and place of the rhyme. In my case, "pussy" went from England to outer space! I have documented the process for this piece below. Enjoy!

A small mockup done on tracing paper |
The final illustration: india ink on bristol, 10'' x 12''. And in case you were curious how the
rhyme goes:
I love little pussy,
Her coat is so warm,
And if I don’t hurt her,
She’ll do me no harm.
So I’ll not pull her tail,
Nor drive her away,
But pussy and I,
Very gently will play.
And here it is after I messed with the colors in Photoshop.
