These are some small spot illustrations I've done to go on a poster from work. The poster advertises an exhibit of sketches and concept art done by Brett Helquist for Lemony Snicket's The Series of Unfortunate Events. The exhibit will be up for the month of August 2017 on the first floor of the Harold B. Lee Library in Special Collections here at BYU. I hope I get to meet Mr. Helquist one day. I remember imitating his trademark hatch marks and swirls while sitting in sacrament meeting when I was a kid. He's classic.
